The main activity in this small town is basketball and everyone is gung ho for the local Ravens team. The only thing the two seem to have in common is that they share the same father, something that neither boy is entirely proud of, and a love for basketball. In the first season the main focus is on Nathan and Lucas major rivalry during the state basketball championship. Lesser storylines involve Nate and Lucas parents, and a budding relationship between Nate and a girl named Haley. One of the major storylines is Lucas interest in Nates girlfriend which causes more and more animosity in the already feuding brothers. The cast is peppered with lesser characters that in later seasons play some major roles. Nate and Lucas are firm enemies that may just have more in common than they think. As the seasons progress Nate and Lucas find out that brothers are brothers no matter how they started out.
